Does upscaling really run on my device?+

Yes. The ESRGAN model is bundled inside the extension and runs in your browser via WebGL. Nothing about your images — original or upscaled — is ever sent to a server. There's no account and no sign-up.

Will I lose quality when converting?+

Only if you want to. PixSnap always grabs the largest available source, and the "Original" option keeps the exact bytes with zero re-encoding. PNG, JPG and WebP each let you set the quality.

Does it work on search results and galleries?+

Yes — it scans search pages and most sites for full-size images. On Google Images specifically, the full-resolution original only exists after you open a result's preview, so a bulk scan of the grid returns Google's thumbnails.

Which formats can it save?+

PNG, JPG, WebP, or the original file untouched. Animated GIFs flatten to a single frame when converted.

Is it free?+
